VIKING LEGO CLUB

Colorful LEGO bricks with animated figures building, and text "LEGO CLUB."

Lego Club is back!

We have brought Lego Club back for another year!Every Tuesday after school until 4 pm for ages 7 through 12.  A parent must come in and sign their child up in order for them to be able to participate. There is a sign up sheet at the Circulation desk.

*Lego Club is available for children from age 7 through 12 years, who are able to work on their own and take instructions willingly.

Not only is playing with Lego's just a lot of fun, but it actually benefits your child as well. Here's how...

  1. It helps develop creativity and problem solving skills. If there's only one of a certain block, then all that's left to do is to build your own. But how... Using Lego's can help your child think outside the box, which as all adults know, will serve them well throughout their entire lives.
  2. It reinforces patience, persistence, and perseverance. When a build doesn't go as planned, just keep problem solving! Lego Club helps the kids learn to stay calm when things don't go as planned and not to give up on the first try.
  3. Lego Club teaches skills to work with others and how to cooperate within a group. We're in an age where it is easy for kids to isolate themselves. Lego Club encourages team builds every so often and helps kids learn to communicate with one another to make a good idea, great.
