February Newsletter

Director's Corner,

Happy Valentine’s Day!  It’s February!  Bye, Bye January.  I don’t know about you, but I am glad to see February blow in.

Is Punxsutawney Phil going to see his shadow?  That is the question!  According to the weather predictions, February 2nd will bring snow showers and cold weather.  I think he will not see his shadow, which indicates an early spring!  Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

If you have not had the opportunity to sign up the this year’s Winter Reading Challenge, it is not too late.  Come in and see Paige or Kaylee to get signed up.  There are lots of prizes just waiting for you.  Can you build a Lego snowman, take a brisk walk, find a new recipe to try, or maybe suggest a new book title to a neighbor?  If you can do any of those things, then you really need to get signed up soon.  Paige, Kaylee and I are challenging you to complete all challenges by March 8th.  I know that you can do it!

Do you have a child between the ages of 2 and 5?  If so, then you really need to come to our Story-Time on Tuesday mornings at 10:30.  Paige has all sorts of things ready for the little ones to do.  It’s a fun filled hour.  Hope to see you next week.

Have you heard of VOX books?  If not, come in, ask for one and we will show you where they are.  They talk to you.  I think your kids are going to really like them.  We have lots of new books coming in, too.  Stop in, build a Lego snowman and check out a book.  I hope to see you in February.
