RHYTHM AND RHYME STORY TIME
RHYTHM AND RHYME STORY TIME
Story Time is back in full swing.
Every Tuesday at 10:30 AM we sing and dance, read a great picture book (or two) and do either a craft or activity relating to our story. It's always great to see our group every week and although some of the kids might not seem like they're listening, they're learning in very big ways.
Just by exposing your child to a multitude of different words, you're familiarizing them with new vocabulary. Children's books contain 50% more rare words in them than a TV showing. Through Rhythm and Rhyme Story Time we help reinforce your effort to link words with photos by asking questions like "Can you show me where the duck is?" or "Does he look mad or sad?" Did you know that kids who read/are read to 3 times a week are more likely to place in the top 25% of their class?
Reading to your child is one of the most important things you can do for their future, but we know it can be hard to fit in sometimes. Come to Rhythm and Rhyme Story Time and let us do the reading and activities!
*Rhythm and Rhyme Story Time age limit is toddler to pre-school age.
