November Newsletter

Illustrated "Hello November" text with autumn-themed flowers and butterflies.

Director's Corner,

WOW!  It’s November.  It won’t be long before turkey, dressing, cranberry relish and, of course, PUMPKIN PIE.  It has been a really beautiful autumn.  The weather has been perfect for walkers, hayrides, for farmers getting their crops in and sports activities.  Your library has been really busy, too.  We have all of your holiday books ready for you to check out.  The Well Read Shed is open every Tuesday from 10:30 to 5:30 for your enjoyment.  It is the time to stock up on your favorite authors before the snow flies.  There are lots of paperbacks, hardback fiction, picture books and non-fiction books to choose from.  The Friends of the Library appreciates your support.

Rhythm and Rhyme Story Time is every Tuesday morning at 10:30.  Please join us for music, dancing, reading and a craft.  Paige would love to see you!  If your children (ages 7 to 12)  like to build with Legos, bring them in on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00 for a challenge.  Let’s see what they can build?

Have you heard about our 120th Year Celebration that is going on?  We have a great giveaway for November.  Come in and check it out.  Also, please get signed up for the year long scavenger hunt.  It is not too late.  The clues are in the last 10 enewsletters or come into the library where they are posted.  If you have not heard, we are giving away an IPad.  Yes, that is right.  All you have to do is figure out where it is, take a picture with you in it and either send it to me or bring the picture in.  It’s that simple.  Some lucky person is going home with a brand new IPad.  Call the library if you have questions.

The library is collecting new hats, gloves, mittens and scarves again this year for Potterville Straight Up.  We will be putting up the tree very soon.  Help us fill the tree!  All items that are collected will be given to families around the Potterville community in the next few weeks.  I thank you so much for your continued support.

Last note!  Let’s remember November 11th.  Veterans Day is a time to honor and thank those who have served in the military for their sacrifices and dedication.  Thank you so much for your service.

Did you know that Potterville has a Veteran’s Boulevard? Take a picture and send it to me or bring the photo in next time you visit.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
