Happy September, PBTDL Patrons

 

The summer is winding down, but there’s still so much to celebrate in September!  Your library is kicking off the month with a “Football Tailgate Giveaway”.  While you are rooting for your favorite team, you may be the lucky winner of our party giveaway.  Be sure to come into the library and enter for this month’s drawing.  You will be able to see what is in the giveaway along with the newest reads that have hit the shelves.  Good Luck! 

 

If you have not signed up for our returning Story Time or Viking Lego Club programs that are held each Tuesday, there is still time to do so.  Call or come to the library to find out what they are all about.  Paige and Kaylee have been working hard to get everything ready for you.  Music, crafts and new Lego challenges are waiting for you!

 

It is time for the 4th annual Friends of the PBTDL Craft Show being held at the Country Mill on Saturday and Sunday, September 28th and 29th.  There is still time to sign up to be an vendor.  It is a great event to show off your crafts and handiwork.  If you are interested, please contact Janet Morey at janetmorey3@gmail.com.

 The Return of Viking Lego Club and Rhythm And Rhyme Story Time

As we enter the fall we are starting our Lego Club and Storytime up again. We are thrilled to see our kiddos again and see what they have been up to this summer!

Rhythm and Rhyme StoryTime!

Story time will start on Tuesday, September 10th at 10:30 am with lots of  stories and music! More information is on our website.

Viking Lego Club!

Viking Lego Club will, also, return Tuesday, September 10th at 3:00pm and will end at 4:00 pm.  If interested in this program, please sign up at the front desk.  A parent must sign up their child.  More information is on our website.

September Giveaway

This month is the begining of fall which means its not only football season, but tailgating season too.  So to help you start your tailgating off to a great start,  we are giving away a basket filled with the basics for tailgating. Come in to the library and  fill out a slip with you name and phone number (One slip per family) for a chance to win!

Office snack zone with coolers, snacks, drinks, and a mini s'mores maker.

 Friends of the PBTDL 4th Annual Craft show!

The Friends of PBTDL are sponsoring the “4th Annual Craft Show” at The Country Mill Orchard Barn 

We will be open for two days, September 28th and September 29th, from Noon to 5 PM each day.

There will be many booths filled with hand-crafted items, both inside the barn and along the walking path. The Country Mill will have their food available to purchase in the Orchard Barn as well. So please come and join us!

If you are crafty and would like to donate something towards the Friends of the Library table, please bring it in.  We appreciate your generosity.

In case you missed it, we are now into our 9th month of our year long birthday celebration. 

We are holding a year long scavenger hunt throughout the City of Potterville and Benton Township.

There will be a CLUE hidden in each e-newsletter. Find the clue, then find the item/location and take a photo of yourself with the location and bring it in to the library (or email us at  director@pottervillelibrary.org) . If you would like to participate, we will have a form that we will keep at the circulation desk with your name on it, and for each month that you complete, we will then mark it as completed. 
When you complete all 12 months successfully, you will be entered in for a chance to win an Apple iPad .  Good Luck!

 Story Time

Attention Parents of Toddlers!!

Story Time is on Tuesday mornings at 10:30am.

The First Story time is September 10th! We hope to see you there!

Stop in for a story, music/dancing and a fun craft. 

 

Viking Lego Club

The Vikings Lego Club is on Tuesdays from  3:00-4:00pm, it is starting up again September 10th, where we are thrilled to see your guys skills!  This is for 7-12 year olds and must be signed up by a parent.  Join us for a weekly Lego challenge. 

 

The Happy Bookers: BookAholics Book Club

The Book Club is back in session and they are reading  "The Women" by Kristin Hannah.  If you are interested, please plan on attending the September 11th meeting at 3:00 PM right at the library or call us at 645-2989 for more details.

The Well Read Shed

The Well Read Shed is open on Tuesdays from 10:00-5:30 pm.

Paperbacks are .50 cents each or 3 for $1 and hardcovers are $1 each. Childrens books are 5 for $1.

The groups of OverDrive consortia that are participating in the statewide reciprocal borrowing agreement keeps growing. 

 

To add partner libraries to your Libby app:

Tap on the Libby logo in the center 

Select Menu
Select Add Library

Search for one of the Partner Libraries (listed below)
Select Sign In With My Card
Under Partner Libraries select Your Local Public Library
Enter your Card Number and PIN
Select Next
Repeat process until all Partner Libraries have been added
